After a increase in prices at the pumps last week, it looks like drivers in Nova Scotia will get a nice break this week.
The province’s regulator makes its weekly price adjustment at midnight.
Senior petroleum analyst Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com says gasoline should fall by about two-cents a litre.
“And almost the same decrease for diesel, 1.6 to 1.7 cents a litre. But gas is the big story and it certainly means that waiting a few hours might save you a few bucks.”
He says this is the shoulder season with low demand and high supply.
“A lot of refineries are going through their spring-time maintenance. They have to change over from winter to summer blends of gasoline so they’re liquidating a lot of their supply.”
