Staff with the Region of Queens are looking for funding opportunities for the Trestle Trail bridge.
A discussion was held this week at council.
It has been off limits to people since it was closed last November due to its deteriorating condition.
Mayor Christopher Clarke says it’s going to take a lot of money to make repairs.
“There has to be further investigation done by an engineering firm and then after that design would have to be pulled together and all of that is going to be very expensive.”
Clarke estimates it could be as high as $1-million.
He says another option could be to demolish the structure but that has yet to be explored.
