Hopes for an indoor pool in the Municipality of Barrington are on the back burner for now.
Council has been exploring partnering with other communities to build a facility but support has been hard to find.
Warden Eddie Nickerson says without help, a pool is out of reach.
“For a small rural area like ourselves with 7,000 people, it’s pretty tough to operate a pool on our own.”
Nickerson says it might be possible in the future if they can find the money.
