Big Gains For Nova Scotia Liquor Commission

Total sales for the NSLC are up more than $8-million compared to last year.

They released their second quarter results Wednesday.

Spokesperson Denise Corra says the demand for local products is growing.

“Nova Scotia products continue to do really well. Sales of local wine were up by nine per cent while Nova Scotia spirit sales actually grew by over 128 per cent.

Corra says despite healthy growth across the board they’re likely to see even bigger numbers in the third quarter.

She says the holiday season traditionally provides a boost in sales.
