South Shore cyclists will be spinning their wheels in celebration at the end of the month.
The Rum Runners destination trail will officially open on Sunday July 30.
The trail covers 119km of rail trail from the HRM to Lunenburg.
The Rum Runners trail is part of the Blue Route provincial cycling network, which, when complete, will connect over 3,000kms of bicycle routes around the province.
A group ride with two different starting points is planned.
Riders will leave from Mahone Bay and Timberlea at 9:00am and meet at the Hubbards Barn Association.
Refreshments will be served beginning at 12:30pm where riders, and the volunteers and trail groups who worked to build the trail can get together.
