If you’re a mom who gave birth with the help of a midwife, your voice needs to be heard.
That’s the message that organizers of a province-wide rally are sending out.
It will coincide with the International Day of the Midwife.
Krissie Wyman of Yarmouth will be one of the many speakers.
She says it will be a celebration of midwives and people from every part of the province will share their experiences with midwifery care, or the lack of it.
“We want to be the voices of the mothers in our areas, focusing on the wants and needs of midwifery services.”
The rally will be held at Halifax’s Grand Parade on Saturday May 5.
