Yarmouth is hosting a regional meeting of the Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities.
The group represents councils from Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby Counties.
Mayor Pam Mood says they discuss issues that they want to bring forward to the province.
“Economic development, of course housing and immigration are always on the list. Municipal modernization, you know, how can we do things better. Of course solid waste is always a hot topic.
Mood says UNSM regional members share many of the same concerns and challenges.
