If you’ve ever wanted a great paying job with a retirement package, great perks and little chance of ever getting fired, then you may want to apply to the Canadian Senate.
For the first time, Canadians can submit their own name to be a Senator.
Best of all, now you can apply online.
The new website has been set up by the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments.
They will review all applications and send their recommendations to the Prime Minister.
This new process is meant to reduce partisanship when appointing new senators.
There are currently 19 positions to be filled including 2 in Nova Scotia.
The IABSA says preparing an application will take time, so start early.
Applications will be received until August 4th.
