Life in the 18th century will be on display this weekend in Shelburne.
Founders’ Days opens Friday morning and goes until Sunday afternoon.
This year’s festival features new events like a washers tournament and karaoke.
Events Coordinator, Robin Walker, says other favourites including the parade of lights.
“The town is centered around the water and fishing and sailing and all of the boats and I think this is a fun way to kind of recognize that. It’s just kind of ties in with the whole weekend.”
The parade will see boats of all different sizes light up their vessels and sail in Shelburne Harbour.
The festival also features the 18th Century Loyalist Encampment, an aboriginal village, musical entertainment and a magic show.
A fireworks demonstration is also slated for Friday evening.
