Hot Dry Weather Not So Sunny For Some Homeowners

Playing in the sunshine can be thirsty work.

Too bad the taps are empty in some homes.

The hot dry weather this summer is causing a number of dug wells to dry up.

Andy Veinotte with L.E.Veinotte and Sons Well Drilling says there’s not much homeowners can do to prevent it.

“The dug wells are dependant on the weather so the drier it gets, use them sparingly. Most dug wells will run out in this kind of weather.”

Veinotte says those with a drilled well shouldn’t see any change to their water supply.
