A South Shore Hospital Emergency Department will be closed for several hours over the weekend. The ER at Fishermen’s Memorial in Lunenburg will close at 10:30 Saturday night and will re-open at 3:30 Sunday afternoon. The closure is a result of a staff shortage. Officials at Fishermen’s advise people who have emergency situations to call 911 or proceed to the ER at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.
