Collection boxes will be set up at various locations throughout the town of Bridgewater.
Poppy chairman for Legion Branch 24, Mitchell Nauss says there are 4 main locations, Walmart, the NSLC in the plaza, Canadian Tire and the Bridgewater Mall, Centre Court.
At these four locations, besides poppies you can also get commemorative pins with a donation to the Legion.
Nauss says the money raised from the campaign stays in the community.
“We do donate to programs that veterans use. Programs, such as Senior Wheels, as well as, the South Shore Hospital Foundation and the veterans unit at Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital,” explained Nauss.
Nauss said the campaign is getting a slower start compared to last year, but expects another successful year by the time it wraps up in a week.
