New Ross: Education Survey Feedback Reaches 20,000

Students in New Ross had a special visitor today. Education Panel Chair Myra Freeman stopped by New Ross Consolidated School to talk about a provincial survey designed to help shape the education system. More than 20,000 students, educators and parents have already filled out the online form. Grade 7 student Natalie Baker says she would like see more learning outside the classroom. She feels it might help enhance the learning experience. The deadline to fill out the survey is tomorrow – it’s available on the Department of Education website The panel will review the feedback over the summer and produce a report on themes and challenges in the fall. That report will be presented to the Minister of Education.
