Shelburne welcomed a more then 600 foot long cruise ship into the harbour this morning.
The ‘ Marina’ has around 1000 passengers and 800 crew who were brought to the town dock by the ship’s tenders.
The passengers then participated in a variety of activities throughout the Tri-Counties including visiting museums, a farmer’s market and guided tours.
Manager of Community & Economic Development Darren Shupe said that the cruise ship has helped boost business in Shelburne.
“It’s a great opportunity for our local business to experience a whole different class of visitors in sort of their off season.”
The boat that originally left from Florida will continue on to Montreal at 5 tonight.
