A severe thunder and lightning storm helped knock out power to over 20,000 people late Saturday evening.
Nova Scotia Power restored a majority of the outages overnight but some people remain in the dark in the HRM and in the Shubenacadie area.

Expected restoration time is before noon .
Environment Canada is forecasting a risk of thundershowers today in Lunenburg, Queens, Shelburne and Yarmouth counties.
