There`s been some drama at Liverpool`s Astor Theatre.
After the departure of the previous manager, Katheryn Killiam has been appointed to act as interim manager.
Executive Director, Michael Boudreau says a change in personnel can bring in fresh ideas.
“You find that even when you move someone always replaces you and always make some changes – and change is good. There are some folks that may not like change all the time, but change is good.”
Boudreau says the job should be posted by September.
In the meantime, he says there’s been no interuption in the Astor’s movie or live theatre schedule.
“Movies are continuing. Live events are still being booked, continuing to be booked. Nothing is delayed everything is moving as usual.”
Boudreau expects to list a job posting by September.
He hopes to use the community’s contacts to hire a suitable replacement.
Boudreau says Killiam will likely stay on for a short time after the new general manager is hired to help them transition into the role.
