A $707,000 project is finally underway in Mahone Bay.
The Kinburn Street Bridge was declared unsafe last spring and slated for replacement in fall.
Unexpected setbacks delayed the work but it is set to begin Tuesday.
Once complete, a new two lane bridge will replace the current single lane version.
The bridge will remain closed until October 7th.
