The committee studying the future of tourism in the Southwestern part of the province has received numerous suggestions from businesses in the area. They’re suggestions on how to make improvements and bolster the region’s economy. Committee chair, Yarmouth Mayor Pam Mood, says she’s somewhat surprised but encouraged.
Meanwhile, the mayor says much of it all depends on getting a ferry service up and running again between Yarmouth and Maine. Her committee expects to have an initial report ready early in 2014.
