Seventy-five people gathered in Shediac, New Brunswick on Sunday to celebrate the life of Les Stoodley.
The popular broadcaster, who worked for several years in Bridgewater, passed away at the Edmundston regional hospital on October 26, with his wife Micheline Martin by his side.
He passed away after a two year battle with leukemia.
Stoodley was remembered for his work with recovering alcoholics.
The ceremony was filled with stories of how he was able to turn thousands of people’s lives around.
It was an emotional moment for his son, Kurt, who recalled growing up in Grand Bank, Newfoundland with a father who’s impeccable memory made for a life full of lesson-learning stories he’ll never forget.
