Bridgewater: North Parkade Re-Opening

A large parking space in Bridgewater will re-open by 6 p.m tonight.

The north parkade was closed for crews to conduct routine maintenance and apply new concrete.

Mayor David Walker says it was necessary work.

“Cleaning up some areas that were deteriorating, starting to crumble a bit from over the years.”

Meanwhile, Dexter Construction has started preliminary work on the south parkade.

Safety fencing and barriers have been installed and crews have readied the site for demolition.

The company is expected to start removing the structure in the next week.
