The RCMP is warning about calls from people pretending to be from Revenue Canada.
They say the scammers are telling people they owe the government money and need to pay up.
Stephen Carver from Blockhouse says he wasn’t sure what to do when he received the call.
“I was scared,” he says, “because I was like ‘why are you calling me? I’ve done everything right’”
Carver says he was able to figure out the truth and report it to the RCMP.
But he says he’s worried about those who might not think to ask questions.
RCMP suggest you report any suspicious calls.
