Counting Poppy Sales

Remembrance Day is done for most of us.

But there’s still a lot to do for those who plan the events.

Sam Collicutt, Bridgewater Legion President, says it’s a team effort to figure out how much they’ve raised through poppy sales.

“We have our whole poppy committee counting,” he says. “Then rolling a tremendous amount of coin, and then bringing down to the bank…and coming up with the final numbers.”

He says they don’t have an exact number yet but they expect to be on par with last year.

The 2014 campaign raised about $30,000 dollars.
