Jordan: Paris Attacks “Tragic” And “Senseless Acts Of Violence”

More than 120 people are expected dead following explosion and gun fire in Paris.

The attacks in France have led to a state of emergency in the country – the first time since World War II.

The incidents happened late Friday evening outside the National Stadium as well as a restaurant and theatre.

South Shore – St. Margaret’s MP, Bernadette Jordan, says it’s a senseless act of violence.

“I think I speak on behalf of a lot of the people in this area that we are all deeply saddened by the tragic events that have happened in Paris and our thoughts are with the people of France.”

Jordan expects there will be heightened security for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when he travels to Paris for a climate change conference in about three weeks.
