Six high school students got an up close look at municipal government today.
They were invited to sit with local councillors in the Municipality of Lunenburg.
Seth Fraser was one of them.
He says he doesn’t take the opportunity lightly.
“I’m very pleased with how open council was,” he says. “It’s not often you have youth come into this kind of thing and make a difference, or make some kind of impact.”
Fraser says he would like more chances to interact with local government.
He made a motion that the municipality work with student councils to encourage youth engagement.
