The first seven months of the South Canoe Wind project have exceeded expectations.
The 34 turbines between Vaughan and New Russell have generated just over $370,000 in revenue.
Warden Allen Webber says the municipality is pleased.
And, they are looking into other opportunities.
“We are, in fact, actively looking at the development of additional wind turbines and we’re discussing that will other municipal partners all across Nova Scotia.”
The turbines started feeding the power grid in April.
October was the best month, creating over $81,000 in revenue.
