Liverpool’s Chelsea Whalen followed up a silver medal performance in the shot-put Friday night with an equally better effort in the women’s javelin championship Saturday evening at the Canadian Track and Field Championships. Whalen finished in second place after a toss of 51.15 metres. The 20-year-old will now prepare for the Summer Universiade/ World University Games to be held in Kazan, Russia from July 6-17.
