Nova Scotia Finishes With 49 Medals at Canada Summer Games

Nova Scotia athletes wrap up their Canada Summer Games experience today in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Bluenosers captured 49 medals at this year’s competition, finishing fifth overall in the standings behind Ontario, B.C, Quebec and Alberta.

Our total includes 13 gold, 21 silver and 15 bronze; the province’s third best medal count.

The closing ceremony will be held this evening.

The Region of Queens Municipality will hold a meet and greet reception for Brooklyn’s Sarah Mitton after her gold medal performance in the women’s shot put.

It is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m at Queens Place Emera Centre.
