A small plane crashed in Italy Cross this afternoon.
Around 12:30 the plane carrying two people landed in a wooded area.
RCMP, paramedics and members of the Italy Cross-Middlewood District Fire Department responded to the scene near Somerset Road.
Preliminary investigation determined a Cessna aircraft took off from a nearby lake, experienced difficulties and crashed.
RCMP Cpl. Dal Hutchinson says the pilot and passenger were able to walk after the crash with non-life threatening injuries.
The Transportation and Safety Board has been contacted.
