Mahone Bay Chef Serving Dinner At Canada’s Table

A Mahone Bay chef has been chosen to represent the Maritimes at “Canada’s Table” in Ottawa later this month.

Matthew Krizan is the owner of Mateus Bistro.

An immigrant to Canada, Krizan says being able to serve food in Ottawa where he got his culinary start means a lot to him.

The event will host nine guest chefs from across the country to represent their regions dish at a 1,000 foot table.

Krizan will serve lobster, scallops, sea grass and seaweed along with sorrel to his table.

The event sold out within six minutes.

It takes place August 27 in front of Parliament Hill.
