A number of provincial government employees will take a dip in three harbours today.
Their goal is to raise awareness and funds for the annual United Way workplace campaign.
More than 50 swimmers are swimming across Halifax Harbour over the noon hour.
About a dozen or so will make the trip to Lunenburg at 2:45 at Zwicker Wharf on Bluenose Drive.
They’ll end in Yarmouth Harbour at 6pm at the Killam’s Marina on Water Street.
Dan McDougall is taking part in all three swims, he’s the CEO of Housing Nova Scotia.
McDougall says it’s great to be able to raise awareness.
“The United Way does great work, and all those community organizations that tirelessly work for Nova Scotians that need assistance. It’s nice to be able to help.”
McDougall encourages those in Yarmouth to come down to the wharf and cheer on the participants.
There will also be a 50/50 draw.
