Christmas festivals on the South Shore are in full swing.
This weekend Christmas on the Mersey gets up and running.
One of the organizers Cathy Pincomb says there will be lots to take in.
“Where else can you go to see seven or eight native canoes coming down the Mersey river, with torches, in full dress,” she says. “And it is spectacular.”
The First Nations Paddlers will be part a candlelight parade that leaves from town hall at 7 p.m. this evening.
Candles can be purchased for five dollars.
All proceeds are going to the food bank.
