A well known writer made a stop in Lunenburg this weekend.
Book of Negroes author, Lawrence Hill, was at the Fisheries Museum to do a reading and book signing yesterday.
Hill is originally from Hamilton, Ontario, but he says Nova Scotia holds a special place in his heart.
“I feel really connected to the province,” he says, “and, although I’m not a Nova Scotian, I’ve been made to feel that I’m an honorary Nova Scotian. It’s a great feeling.”
Hill says his books often have a tie-in to the province and his new book is no exception.
Proceeds from Saturday’s events go to support programs for the South Shore Public Libraries.
