The South Shore Seahawks Football Club are vying to be the first local group to make the top 20 of the Kraft Celebration Tour. The club is looking to win $25,000 towards improving Kinsmen Field in Bridgewater. The event gives 10 communities across Canada a chance to win the cash prize. John Peters nominated the field and says the club wants to help make it better-suited for their games.
There are currently three other nominees along the South Shore including Lunenburg, Hubbards and Lockeport. Residents are encouraged to vote by writing a small testimonial about why these groups should be chosen at www.kraftcelebrationtour.ca . People have until midnight Friday to show their support before judging begins on the nominated communities.
