Lunenburg County Woman Charged With Stunting

A Lunenburg County woman has had her vehicle seized and driver’s licence suspended after being clocked going 176 kilometres an hour in a 100 zone.

The 24 year old woman as caught at approximately 9 am yesterday (Wed) as she passing other drivers on the divided section of Highway 103 near Chester.

Prior to pulling the woman over, RCMP in Tantallon had received a complaint of the same vehicle traveling at high speeds in the area.

As well as having her vehicle seized and licence suspended, the woman was charged with stunting.

The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is just shy of $2,500.

Lunenburg District RCMP are reminding the public that speed is one of the major causes of serious injury and fatal collisions.
