El Nino Will Continue To Ensure Milder Winter Than Normal For Maritimes

A strong El Nino will continue to have an impact for the rest of the winter season according to the Weather Network.

This warming cycle in the Pacific Ocean can lead to dramatic weather impacts around the globe.

Meteorologist Doug Gilham says El Nino has already disrupted typical weather conditions across Canada.

“El Nino is the primary driver of the weather pattern across North America, certainly not the only factor, but it’s why so many areas have seen such a mild start to Winter,” says Gilham.

He still expects the rest of the winter will be milder than normal especially from Ontario to the Maritimes.
