Preparations For The World Sledge Hockey Challenge Ramp Up

Puck drop for the World Sledge Hockey Challenge is only 10 days away.

General Manager of the LCLC, Kevin Benjamin, is working to organize around 100 volunteers, and take care of last minute details.

He says the stress is worth it. “Oh, we’re ecstatic,” he says. “There seems to be a nice buzz in the community about the world coming to Lunenburg County. So, we’re pretty excited, but we’re very busy too.”

Benjamin says they want to build a reputation for putting on successful events.

He says hosting the tournament isn’t just good for the economy but for morale as well.

The challenge starts on Jan 17.
