Hunt’s Point Resident Chases Ace To $34,000 Payday

Paul Langille of Hunt’s Point chased the ace to win $34,160.

The 52 year-old picked the ace of spades out of eight remaining cards in the fundraiser for the Port Medway and Mill Village Fire Departments.

Langille says he had a feeling he was going to win.

“Just a gut feeling. I knew it all day. I sat and had lunch and told people I was sitting with that I was going to win and I sent texts out to Alberta and said ‘Tonight, it’s mine.’”

Langille split the money with his daughter Maddie, who is using some of the cash to pay student loans.

He is also giving money to his other daughter out west and sending his mother on a trip.

Langille says he started playing the fundraiser in September and plans to keep supporting the cause when it starts up again later this month.
