The Quarterdeck Restaurant and Villas is undergoing a $3-million renovation.
Liverpool-area tradespeople are being used to complete construction on 12 new lofts and a new-look restaurant.
Two years ago Greg Whynott ‘s family bought the resort.
He says the construction is part of a plan to attract new visitors.
“The new villas, hopefully, will get a slightly younger audience and those people will hopefully develop relationships with the property, similar to our existing guests.”
The new building will also house a recreation centre and indoor pool.
Whynott is confident the upgrades will be complete next summer.
