Birds in Queens and Shelburne counties may soon nest soundly.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada wants to buy 584 acres of land to protect bird habitats.
It includes birds like black ducks and Canada geese.
Spokesperson Andrew Holland says he is excited to preserve these areas.
“We’re reaching out to the public asking them for help because this is a gift, a land gift for future generations.”
They need to raise some money to help make the purchase.
