A new poll shows Canadians are big procrastinators when it comes to Christmas shopping.
The survey found 69 percent of Canadians haven’t finished buying gifts.
In fact, 15 percent haven’t even started.
Jody O’Donnell, General Manager of Canadian Tire, says people seemed to be getting a head start in Bridgewater.
“Business has been great in November and December and I really expected getting closer to Christmas that our days would slow down, as we do have the extra day for Christmas.”
O’Donnell says he predicted a quieter weekend with Christmas falling on a Friday, but was proven wrong.
The poll also shows 18-34 year-olds are the biggest procrastinators, with 75 per cent saying they have not finished their shopping.
