RCMP is investigating after a man was stabbed in Liverpool in the early hours of Friday morning.
Queens District RCMP responded to a 911 call at around 12:30 a.m. reporting a man having been stabbed at a home on Church Street in Liverpool.
A 32-year-old woman was found at a nearby home and taken into custody without incident.
She’s facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
EHS took the victim, a 48-year-old man, to South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater with non-life threatening injuries.
Queens District RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of the RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Idenfication Services, Shelburne RCMP, and the Shelburne and Yarmouth Street Crime Enforcement Units.
The suspect remains in custody and will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court August 13.
She has not been named as she has not yet appeared in court.
