Canada takes the ice for their first game of the World Sledge Hockey Challenge tonight.
Organizers along with around a hundred volunteers have been working for months to pull it off.
Dave Hysen, from Hockey Canada, says there’s a lot to look forward to.
“You don’t get to see these athletes everyday,” he says. “It’s a lot of fun to watch, so I think if people want to see something new, or get into something new, sledge hockey is definitely something I recommend.”
More than 600 tournament passes have been sold so far.
Canada will face Russia at 5 p.m.
