The Region of Queens is offering showers to anyone experiencing dry well conditions.
Queens Place Emera Centre is opening their doors to those affected by the lack of rain water much of Southwestern Nova Scotia has experienced this summer.
Heather Cook, communications coordinator, says the town well is also reminding citizens the town well on Main Street in Liverpool is available to all who need it.
Cook says this summer is the first time they’ve had to offer showers since 2016 when much of the province saw drought conditions in the summer, causing wells to dry up and prolonging several major forest fires.
Showers are available 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday to Friday in the arena dressing room.
And 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday to Sunday in the dressing rooms.
