Several municipalities throughout the region have announced help for people with dry wells.
The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg will provide potable water to municipal residents through a coupon system.
Coupons for four litre water jugs can be picked up at the Municipal office on Aberdeen Road and used at the following locations:

Sam’s No Frills, Bridgewater

Francis’ Your Independent Grocer, Lunenburg

Nick’s Your Independent Grocer, Mahone Bay

New Germany Freshmart
The Municipality of Chester is also providing four litre jugs to residents beginning Monday, October 1.
Those coupons can be picked up at the Municipal Office on King Street in Chester from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
Monday to Friday, excluding Monday October 8, 2018 (Thanksgiving Day).
Extended hours are also available from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday October 1, 2018 and Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
The coupons will also be available from the New Ross Family Consolidated School from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018 and Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Graves Island Provincial Park has also opened their facility to the general public for water container refills and showering. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., seven days a week until October 8.
And the Region of Queens will be supplying water directly at a number of locations:

Queens Ground Search & Rescue, 20 Old Cobbs Barn Road, Liverpool, on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Former Bank Building, 9853 Hwy. 8, Caledonia, on Wednesdays from 5p.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 12 noon

And Greenfield Fire Hall, 4960 Medway River Rd., Greenfield on Monday & Wednesday from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m
Each municipality is enforcing a household limit of 4 cases of 4 litres per day to ensure community need is met.
