Samsung Stops Sales Of Galaxy Note 7 After Reports Of Phones Catching Fire

Samsung is halting sales of its new Galaxy Note 7 smartphone after reports of the phone catching fire while charging.

The South Korean electronics company says after launching an investigation they found a battery cell issue and that, as of September 1, there have been 35 cases reported globally.

Samsung will be replacing customers’ Galaxy Note 7 devices with new ones over the coming weeks.
