RCMP Say Two People Injured In Collision in Western Nova Scotia

RCMP say alcohol likely played a factor in a head-on collision Monday night in Yarmouth County.

Cpl. Stacey Gosling of the Yarmouth Rural RCMP says police, fire and EHS responded to the accident
around 9:15 on Highway 334 in Upper Wedgeport.

Gosling says the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the Yarmouth Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

They were the only occupants in each vehicle.

Cpl. Gosling says charges of impaired driving are being considered against one of the drivers.

The road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
