Small Change To Chase The Ace Rules In West Pubnico

A small change to a popular event in West Pubnico.

The winner of tomorrow night’s Chase the Ace draw will need to present the winning ticket to a volunteer at one of seven venues within 30 minutes.

Previously, the winner was able to call the West Pubnico Legion to signify they were on the way.

Organizer Jean-Bernard d’Entremont advises players to stay close to Pubnico.

He says the change was made for a couple of reasons, one to cut down on time.

“And also to avoid the possibility of someone calling in for a prank, pranksters and so on.”

d’Entremont also urges people to car pool and to drive safely in the area.

“And slow down when you’re in West Pubnico on Friday night. There’s a lot of people walking and we’re concerned about the safety.”

Tomorrow night’s jackpot could exceed a quarter of a million dollars.

There are 22 cards left in the deck.
