An event will be held tonight that will offer a more candid opportunity for people to meet their municipal and school board candidates in Lunenburg and Queens counties.
Lighthouse Publishing is offering a ‘Candidate Cafe’ at the Best Western Plus and Convention Centre in Cookville.
Marketing Consultant, Casey Publicover, says it’s a chance to be less formal.
“We felt that maybe a less structured, more friendly and open meet and greet would be a little more advantageous for the public to get involved with and have an opportunity to meet their candidate face-to-face.”
Candidates from each town or municipality will be spread throughout the room and will be available to talk to people.
There is no cost to attend.
The event goes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
