Police are investigating an armed robbery at Kinburn Pharmasave in Mahone Bay.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke says they received the call just before 1:30 yesterday afternoon.
“A woman who was wearing a disguise approached the pharmacy staff and demanded a quantity of pills and she threatened to use a weapon if they didn’t comply,” she says. “Then she fled the pharmacy in a dark coloured van.”
Clarke says a man and a woman have been arrested.
No charges have been laid.
The pharmacy was closed for several hours while the preliminary investigation was underway, but re-opened yesterday evening.
An employee with the pharmacy says staff are coping well since the incident.
They say no one was harmed and they are back to business as usual.
