Gow’s Home Hardware is taking on the Salvation Army’s annual turkey drive for the second year in a row.
Major Wilson Sutton says the organization was left scrambling two years ago after Bridgewater Sears, which previously provided cold storage for the initiative, closed their doors for good.
“Last year I counted at least 110 turkeys at Gow’s that customers brought in, and if you look on their Facebook page, they have a little nice spiel there encouraging people to bring in a turkey to support the Salvation Army’s Christmas program,” he says.
Sutton says anyone interested in donating a turkey for the drive can drop it off at either Gow’s Home Hardware or Gow’s Home Furniture.
